The ICC Champions Trophy 2025 finally concluded on March 9 with India becoming the new champions after beating New Zealand by four wickets at the Dubai International cricket stadium. While India clinched their third Champions Trophy title and second straight ICC trophy, New Zealand players received recognition for their outstanding performances. Rachin Ravindra earned the Golden Bat award for scoring the most runs throughout the tournament. He scored the most, 263 runs across five matches riding on two centuries at a stunning average of 68.75.

Beyond the batting accolades, the tournament also recognised the leading bowler. This brings us to the Golden Ball award, which was presented to the player who secured the highest number of wickets during the three-week competition.

New Zealand's Matt Henry was awarded the "Golden Ball" for his outstanding bowling performance throughout the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy, showcasing exceptional wicket-taking ability. Notably, the 33-year-old achieved this feat despite playing three of his four tournament matches on challenging, high-scoring pitches in Pakistan. Furthermore, his wicket tally could have been even higher had he not been sidelined by an injury that prevented him from participating in New Zealand's final match against India in Dubai.

Henry's performance against India in the earlier stages of the tournament, held at the same Dubai stadium, was particularly impressive. He secured five wickets while conceding only 42 runs in his eight overs, demonstrating his effectiveness against a strong Indian batting lineup.

Matt Henry concluded his 2025 ICC Champions Trophy campaign with a remarkable bowling performance, securing the Golden Ball award. He claimed 10 wickets in just four innings, boasting an impressive bowling average of 16.70. This achievement placed him ahead of Varun Chakravarthy, Mohammed Shami, and his teammate Mitchell Santner, who each took nine wickets. Notably, Henry maintained an exceptionally low economy rate of 5.32.
