India are yet to open their account at the Birmingham Commonwealth Games (CWG) 2022. On Day 1, India got off to a good start with star players like PV Sindhu, Shiva Thapa, Manika Batra, Kidambi Srikanth, G Sathiyan and others advancing into the next round. There were few first-timers like 14-year-old squash player Anahat Singh who impressed. 
 

On Day 2, there will be few big battles as well. Tokyo Olympics bronze medallist boxer Lovlina Borgohain will be in action. In weightlifting, Olympics silver medallist Mirabai Chanu will be seen in action as well.

Swimming: 
Men's 200m freestyle - Heat 3: Kushagra Rawat (3.06 pm) 
Artistic Gymnastics: 
Women's team final and individual qualification: Ruthuja Nataraj 
Protistha Samanta and Praniti Naik (9 pm) 
Athletics: 

Men's marathon final: Nitendra Singh Rawat (1.30 pm) 
Badminton: 

Mixed team Group A: India vs Sri Lanka (1.30 pm); India vs Australia (11.30 pm) 
Boxing: 
54-57kg (featherweight) round of 32: Hussamuddin Mohammed (5 pm)
