Cricket West Indies (CWI) announced the squad for the remaining three T20Is of the five-T20I series against England at home. Star all-rounder Andre Russell has been ruled out of the series to a left ankle sprain he sustained during the series opener. Meanwhile, Alzarri Joseph who was suspended for two games for his outburst and leaving the field during an ODI has been picked in the squad.
Shamar Springer has replaced Russell in the squad whereas Shamar Joseph has made way for Alzarri. In the absence of an in-form Alzarri, West Indies lost the first T20Is comprehensively as the failed to defend. In the first T20I, opener Phil Salt scored his third century in the format agianst West Indies. In the second T20I, skipper Jos Buttler made the run chase look easy with an 83-run knock.
On November 14 at Daren Sammy National Cricket Stadium, St Lucia, West Indies will look to keep the series alive with their first win.
West Indies have not won a T20I against England in 2024. West Indies have not lost a T20I series to England since 2019. In 2019, England whitewashed West Indies in the three-T20I series. The last two T20I series, West Indies have beaten England 3-2.

England release Chohan
Meanwhile, England have released young leggie Jafer Chohan from the squad. The 22-year-old is yet to make his T20I debut. So far, he has played 23 T20s and bagged 22 wickets including a five-wicket haul. His economy rate is an impressive 7.86 runs per over. The 22-year-old will play for England Lions against South Africa.
