PAK vs AFG: Babar Azam denies Mohammad Nabi's helping hand to tie his shoelaces, video goes viral

Pakistan skipper Babar Azam denied Afghanistan all-rounder Mohammad Nabi’s helping hand during the clash at MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai on October 23. At times, the batters avoid taking off their batting inners and gloves. They request the on-field umpire or opposition players to tie their shoelaces. When Nabi tried to help Babar, the latter did not let him and went ahead to take his gloves and tie his shoelaces. 
 

As Babar went about his business, Nabi gave the opposition batter a pat on the back. The video of the incident has been going viral on social media. 

Earlier, Babar won the toss and opted to bat first. He made one forced change in the side by replacing an unwell Mohammad Nawaz with Shadab Khan.
 

Pakistan openers got off to a decent start in the first powerplay overs. Abdullah Shafique even ended Pakistan's six-drought in the first powerplay over with a maximum off-spinner Mujeeb Ur Rahman. 
 

After 10 overs, they had 56 runs on the board. In the 11th over, Azmatullah Omarzai broke the partnership with the wicket of Imam-ul-Haq. Omarzai exploited Imam's weakness against the short ball. He went for the pull but found mid-wicket fielder Naveen-ul-Haq.
 

Babar walked out to bat and opened his account with a boundary. In the 16th over, Nabi had a warming for Babar as well. The Pakistan batter was leaving the crease too early and Nabi gave him a warning instead of running him out. He was batting on 17 off 20 deliveries then.
 

Nabi was economical with the ball. In the 34th over, he got the wicket of Saud Shakeel who took the aerial route dancing down the track. He conceded 31 runs from his quota of 10 overs.

On the other hand, Babar went on to score his half-century. He was dismissed by teenager Noor Ahmad in the 42nd over. He scored 74 runs from 92 balls including four fours and a six.
