Shakib is the leading wicket-taker in T20 World Cups.

Bangladesh's veteran all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan is one wicket away from creating T20 World Cup history. As Bangladesh face India in a must-win contest at Sir Vivian Richards Stadium, Antigua, Shakib needs one wicket to become first bowler to take 50 wickets in T20 World Cups.

Shakib is one of the few current players who also played in the inaugural edition of T20 World Cup in 2007. The left-arm spinner has taken 49 wickets from 41 games at an average of 19.38 including three four-wicket hauls.

He is by far the leading wicket-taker in T20 World Cups and is expected to stay at top until the next edition of the marquee event. Among teams playing in the Super 8 stage, Australia's Adam Zampa is next on the list with 34 wickets from 19 games.

The left-handed batter has 842 runs from 41 games at an average of 24.05 including four half-centuries.
