Rohit Sharma's Team India will be going against Aiden Markram-led South Africa cricket team in the Final of the ongoing edition of the T20 World Cup 2024 at the Kensington Oval in Barbados, on June 29 (Saturday). This is the grand finale of this mega-tournament. The fans are extremely thrilled for this clash and has their eyes on this match but are also worried that rain and bad weather might play spoilsport during the match proceedings. Both teams have not yet faced defeat in this tournament and this is the first time two unbeaten teams will be competing in the Final of a T20 World Cup.
Barbados weather forecast
As per the Barbados weather forecast, there will be thunderstorms and heavy chances of rain. The precipitation chances can go up to 70 per cent, so it will most likely be playing spoilsport. A couple of games have already been abandoned due to rain earlier as well but hopefully, this won't be the sight during tomorrow's game and the match can proceed and have a result even with a few interruptions. We can constantly expect a stop-start type of game. ICC has allotted 190 minutes of extra time to deal with the rain threat and allow the ground staff to get the ground ready.
Will there be a reserve day?
In case persistent rain does not allow the match to proceed in the allotted time or the extra time and causes a washout on match day. As per the rules, There is a reserve days available for the grand finale in Barbados. In case of a potential washout both teams will have the chance to compete for the prestigious title on 30th June.
