Pakistan's young fast bowler Naseem Shah believes that Pakistan has forgotten about their defeat to India as they prepare for their final two matches of the ongoing T20 World Cup 2022 Super 12 matches. Pakistan lost their first match of the Super 12 by four wickets on Sunday, October 23 at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.

In a match that went down to the wire, it was bowler Mohammad Nawaz who failed to defend 16 runs in the final over. Virat Kohli's unbeaten 53-ball 82 denied the Men in Green an important victory. But Naseem was impressive in the game, having dismissed KL Rahul early in India's run-chase. The Young Turk reckoned that Pakistan have moved on from the defeat.

"No, I don't think so, because everyone is professional and everyone knows about oneself. We lost against India, but I don't think anyone is thinking about the India game because as a professional you can't think about the past when you lose, then especially, you can't be thinking that" Shah was quoted as saying in the pre-match press conference.

"After the India match, everyone was positive," he added.

After losing to India, Pakistan face an upset at the hands of Zimbabwe, facing a one-run defeat in what was another closely fought game. Babar Azam and his team registered their first win after they defeated the Netherlands by six wickets in their third Super 12 match.

Pakistan are now set to face Temba Bavuma's South Africa on Thursday, November 3 at the Sydney Cricket Ground. The Men in Green need a win to have any chance of qualifying for the playoffs. Their last Super 12 match is against Shakib Al Hasan’s Bangladesh at the Adelaide Oval.
