Rohit and Virat will now be seen featuring in ODIs against Australia.

Former India cricketer Manoj Tiwary shared his take on the long-standing debate between Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma's captaincy. Manoj, who played a crucial role in Kolkata Knight Riders' (KKR) win in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2012, believes that people often judge captains based only on results.

Tiwary suggested that it’s important to remember how much Virat transformed the Indian team during his tenure. Still, with Rohit now having led India to multiple ICC titles, Tiwary admitted he would pick Rohit as the better captain.

"See, it's very unfortunate that in our country, we only go by the results. Yeah. But it would be unfair not to say that Virat Kohli was equally good as a captain. He had transformed Team India, and he was very close to winning the ICC trophy.  But since Rohit Sharma has led Team India to a couple of ICC trophies. I will obviously have to go with Rohit Sharma," said Manoj Tiwary on Inside Sport.
