Rishabh Pant, India's superstar wicketkeeper-batter, made a remarkable recovery after a horrific car crash on December 30, 2022. While traveling to his hometown in Roorkee, Rishabh Pant's car collided with a divider and caught fire. Thankfully, two local individuals intervened and rescued Pant from the burning vehicle before summoning medical assistance. The two individuals, who were identified as Rajat and Nishu, promptly called an ambulance for Pant and saved his life. Pant, certainly owes his life to them. The serious car accident near Roorkee, Uttarakhand, resulted in a ligament tear in Pant's right knee and cuts on his forehead. The 26-year-old cricketer was also sidelined from competitive cricket for over a year due to the injuries sustained in the accident.

After recovering from his injuries, Rishabh Pant expressed gratitude to his rescuers, Rajat and Nishu, through a heartfelt Instagram post. Pant also gifted his life saviours scooters as a token of his gratitude.
In an interview with 7 Cricket, Rajat and Nishu revealed that the scooters had Pant's name imprinted on them.
