3 Indian batters slipped in top 10 of latest ICC Test Rankings.

England's veteran batter Joe Root was rewarded for his century in the Lord's Test as he reclaimed the no.1 spot on the ICC Test Rankings. Root holds the top position with 888 rating points. Harry Brook's rating points took a hit as he registered scores 11 and 23 in the third Test of Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy 2025. With Brook slipping two places, New Zealand's Kane Williamson is in second position.

India opener Yashasvi Jaiswal, wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant and Shubman Gill slipped in rankings as well. Following an eight-ball 13 with a seven-ball duck, Jaiswal slipped to the fifth position. Now, Australia's Steve Smith is in the fourth spot. Smith contributed with a valuable 48 before falling for a single-digit score in the pink-ball Test against West Indies.

Despite a 74-run knock in the first innings, Pant's rankings took a hit as well. He fell to the eighth position. The India vice-captain is just ahead of his captain Gill who is in ninth position. After a record-breaking run in historic Edgbaston Test, he registered scores of 16 and 6 at Lord's.

South Africa captain Temba Bavuma is in sixth position, followed by Sri Lanka's Kamindu Mendis. England's young wicketkeeper-batter Jamie Smith held the 10th position.

Boland jumps with hat-trick

In the bowler's rankings, Australia's Scott Boland jumped six places to take the sixth spot after his hat-trick in the pink-ball Test. Despite the defeat, West Indies pacer Shamar Joseph jumped 15 places to occupy 14th spot on the back of two four-wicket hauls at Sabina Park, Kingston.
