India vs England 3rd Test will take place at Lord's stadium in London.

Jofra Archer's last Test outing came in February 2021.

The England and Wales Cricket Board have announced their playing XI for the third Test match against India which will take place from  10-14 July at the iconic Lord's Stadium in London. Pace spearhead Jofra Archer who was included in the squad, has made a cut in the playing XI for the third Test of the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy 2025. Archer replaced Josh Tongue in the third clash.

Archer, who has struggled with elbow-related injury to his bowling arm over the last several years, last played in a Test in February 2021 against India in Ahmedabad. Archer has played 13 Tests for England, where he picked up 42 wickets, including three five-wicket hauls. He made his debut on August 14, 2019, against Australia at Lord's Stadium in London.

"Exciting for the team and the fans, also for Joff (Jofra Archery). He's gonna be proud of himself that he made it back to the team. Whenever he has the ball in his hand, he presents something special," said Ben Stokes ahead of the third Test vs England.

The five-Test match series between India and England is currently tied 1-1 after India's dominating 336-run historic win at Edgbaston Stadium in Birmingham.

On the other camp, there are chances that legendary speedster Jasprit Bumrah, who missed the second Test because of workload management, will most likely be included in the Shubman Gill-led side's playing XI in place of Prasidh Krishna, considering Akash Deep and Mohammed Siraj's performance in the last clash.

Cricketing legend Sunil Gavaskar also believes that Praisdh Krishna will make a way for Jasprit Bumrah for the third Test.

"I think it’s clear. Prasidh Krishna has to go out because, in the first innings, he was a bit expensive. Even in Leeds, although he got a few wickets, he really didn’t look like he was going to break through. With Akash Deep and Mohammed Siraj, you’ve seen the number of top-class deliveries that they’ve bowled. And they might not have gotten wickets – the batters played and missed, and the ball rapped them on the pads. It has to be Prasidh because his length wasn’t quite right. I believe he will make way for Bumrah," Gavaskar said on Sports Tak.
