India wicketkeeper batter Rishabh Pant is currently in the form of his life. The left-handed wicketkeeper batter smashed his second century in the ongoing first Test match of the Tendulkar-Anderson Trophy at the Yorkshire Cricket Ground in Leeds, England. With his century, the wicketkeeper batter became the first Indian wicketkeeper and second overall on Monday to score hundreds in both innings of a Test match.

After an entertaining 134 in the first innings against England in the ongoing first Test, the Indian vice-captain hit another in the second innings on Day 4 to etch his name in the history books. A clip of Pant is going viral where he was celebrating the ton and legendary cricketer Sunil Gavaskar requested him to celebrate the century doing a somersault, but confident Pant calmly told him to do that next time. Here is the video.

With this hundred, Pant became the first Indian batter with two centuries in the same Test on English soil. That was Pant's third consecutive hundred in a top-tier cricket match. Before this Test match, Pant had scored a 118 not out for Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in their final Indian Premier League (IPL) clash against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB).

Coming back to the match, opener KL Rahul and Rishabh Pant struck fine centuries as India made merry in the post-lunch session to take their second-innings total to 298 for 4 against England on day four of the opening Test. At tea break, Rahul was unbeaten on 120 (227 balls), while Pant smashed 118 off 140 deliveries as India shifted the momentum after losing Shubman Gill's early wicket during the first session. The duo also stitched a 195-run partnership for the fourth wicket, which became the cornerstone of a strong fightback following Gill's departure.
