Rohit on loss against Sri Lanka

Rohit Sharma was the sole batter that performed exceptionally well throughout this series. He smashed two fifties and was the leading run-scorer in this series. Where no other Indian batter could score runs freely, Rohit not only gave the Men in Blue team a good start but also made it look easy to score runs.

"I don't think it is a concern. But it is something we have to look at individually and as a game plan. It is a joke, when you are playing for India there is never going to be complacency. When I am captain there is no chance of complacency. But you have to give credit to good cricket. Sri Lanka played better than us. We looked at the conditions and went with the combinations, there also guys who need to be looked at and hence the changes. There are lot of areas we need to look at rather than the positives. These things happen, series loss is not the end of the world, you will lose an odd series here and there but it is about how you come back after the loss," said Rohit in the post-match presentation.

SL beat India by 110 runs

Sri Lanka batting first posted a good total of 248 runs at the loss of 7 wickets in the third ODI. They than bowled out the Men in Blue side on just 138 runs to win the match by 110 runs. The first match of the series ended in a tie and SL won the remaining two matches to seal the series 2-0. This is also Gautam Gambhir's first series loss as the Indian head coach.
