India's star all-rounder Hardik Pandya achieved a sensational milestone in the shortest format of the game during the third T20I against West Indies on Tuesday (August 2). Meanwhile, riding on Suryakumar Yadav's spellbinding 76-run- nock, India went on to win the match by seven wickets.

Pandya achieved a rare feat by reaching the landmark of scoring 500 runs and snaring 50 wickets in the T20Is, however, he could only score 4 runs and took one wicket.

The 28-year-old sent West Indies' Brandon King to the pavillion to break the opponent's 50-run opening stand to reach the rare feat of 50 wickets in T20Is.

With this he became the India's sixth men cricketer to achieve the landmark as the last Indian player to do so was another star all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja, which he did in the second T20I against West Indies.

With a double delight of 50 wickets and 500 runs in the shortest format of the game, Pandya has so far mustered 802 runs in T20 Internationals.

The only other Indian player to get this achievement was Women's cricket team star Deepti Sharma, who has 65 wickets and 521 runs to her name in the 20-over format.

Talking about the match, Suryakumar Yadav gave an exhibition of his incredible hitting skills with a superb 76 to help India lead the five-match series 2-1.

While more than 147 had never been chased in a T20I at the Warner Park ground, Suryakumar decided to alter that script in a 44-ball knock as India made a short work of the 165-run target in 19 overs.

Shreyas Iyer (24 off 26 balls) was an ideal partner at the other end in a stand of 86 as they made the target look way easier than it actually was and that too on a surface which exactly didn't look batting-friendly during the first part of the game.

Having had a brief dry spell after his maiden T20I hundred at Nottingham, Suryakumar was back in his element and this time in an unfamiliar role as an opener, which he has been performing during the series.
