Delhi Capitals (DC) skipper David Warner won the toss and opted to bat first against defending champions Gujarat Titans (GT). Warner made just one change to the playing XI as he replaced an injured Mitchell Marsh with South African batter Rilee Rossouw. DC brought back left-arm pacer Khaleel Ahmed who recovered from the niggle as an impact player.

Marsh who won the ‘Player of the Match’ award despite DC’s nine-run loss against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) is unwell and was unavailable for selection. The Australian all-rounder scored 63 runs and picked up four wickets for 27 runs. Marsh's replacement Rossouw scored 44 runs from three games for Capitals.

“Nice wicket, looks a bit dry. Want to put runs on the board. We have to come out positive, we got some young talent and hopefully they all will get to showcase it tonight. Unfortunately Mitch Marsh is sick, so Rilee Rossouw comes in for him. Khaleel has recovered from the niggle and he is back as well,” Warner said after winning the toss.

On the other hand, Hardik Pandya did not make a single change to the side. Shubman Gill will play as an impact player.

“We were planning to bowl as well, thought chasing would be an ideal thing here. We spoke earlier about the kind of intent we keep and bowling wise we have been fantastic and want to stay calm and humble. We are playing the same team,” Pandya said at the coin toss.

GT XI: Wriddhiman Saha(w), Abhinav Manohar, Hardik Pandya(c), Vijay Shankar, David Miller, Rahul Tewatia, Rashid Khan, Noor Ahmad, Mohammed Shami, Mohit Sharma, Joshua Little

DC XI: David Warner(c), Philip Salt(w), Manish Pandey, Rilee Rossouw, Priyam Garg, Axar Patel, Ripal Patel, Aman Hakim Khan, Kuldeep Yadav, Anrich Nortje, Ishant Sharma
