Royal Challengers Bangalore's (RCB) stylish all-rounder Glenn Maxwell tied the wedding knot with his Indian-origin long time girlfriend Vini Raman.
Australia's star player Maxwell and Vini had got engaged in February 2020 as they have known each other for quite a time.
Vini is an Australia-based pharmacist and she dwells in Melbourne. She belongs to a Tamil family residing in the Australian city. Earlier, the couple had also planned their wedding on multiple occasions but had to shelve it due to the dreaded pandemic. Finally they decided to get hitched in a private ceremony. As per the earlier reports, the wedding was supposed to take place on March 27 as the rumours were rife about the two getting married after their wedding card in Tamil got leaked.
Maxwell took to Instagram and posted a picture of him and his wife Vini Raman. The couple can be seen holding hands with rings in their fingers. Vini Raman captioned the post, "Love is a search for completion and with you I feel complete."
She also used the heart, bride and groom emojis to confirm that they had indeed taken the next step of their relationship, on '18.3.2022.
"The RCB family is incredibly happy for @vini_raman and @Gmaxi_32 on the beginning of this new chapter in their lives. Wishing you both all the happiness and peace, Maxi!" RCB tweeted.
Meanwhile, Maxwell will join Royal Challengers Bangalore a bit later having taken a new journey in his personal life while the team will open their IPL 2022 campaign on March 27 against Punjab Kings.
Based on his remarkable performance, he found himself among the retained list of players along with Virat Kohli and Mohammed Siraj.
Maxwell was among the top contenders to take over from Virat Kohli as the new captain of the RCB ahead of the new season. However, the franchise have decided to hand over the reins to Faf du Plessis, who was bought for a sum of Rs 7 crore (INR 70 million) at the IPL 2022 mega auction last month.
Nonetheless, Maxwell remains an integral member of the RCB squad and is expected to play a key role for the franchise in the upcoming season. Maxwell enjoyed a brilliant campaign for RCB in IPL 2021 last year where he amassed 513 runs in 15 matches for the side at an average of over 42.
