During the ILT20 game between MI Emirates and Abu Dhabi Knight Riders on January 29th, Sunday, 34-year-old Trent Boult stunned everyone with his extraordinary athleticism. The jaw-dropping moment that transpired in the 18th over of the Knight Riders' innings when Laurie Evans, facing a slower ball from Fazalhaq Farooqi, attempted a lofted shot but failed to time the ball. Boult, displaying remarkable agility, dashed at full speed from long-off to covers and flung himself in the air with his right arm stretched out to complete a sensational one-handed catch.

Boult's effort was such that it prompted the commentator to say 'Superman maidan mein nazar aaya (Superman has been spotted on the field)'.

Talking about the match, MI Emirates continued their impressive run in the competition, securing an eight-wicket victory against Abu Dhabi Knight Riders. Muhammad Waseem's outstanding unbeaten 87-run knock along with Kusal Perera's half-century propelled MI Emirates to victory with an over to spare.

Opting to field first after winning the toss, MI Emirates' skipper Nicholas Pooran saw his decision pay off. Joe Clarke's quick 21 off 13 balls was cut short by Fazalhaq Farooqi, who claimed the first wicket. At the end of the powerplay, Knight Riders were 57/1. Trent Boult later dismissed Michael Pepper, who contributed a solid 38 runs off 28 balls.

Alishan Sharafu’s stint included two sixes and three fours before falling to Waqar Salamkheil. In his blistering cameo of 47 runs off 17 balls, Andre Russell whacked six sixes and helped Knight Riders reach a competitive total of 188/5.

In response, MI Emirates’ openers made a strong start, scoring 15 runs off Imad Wasim in the opening over. The duo of Waseem and Perera continued their aggressive approach, targeting David Willey and Sunil Narine. Waseem got a lucky break early on and capitalized on it, with MI Emirates racing to 89/0 after the powerplay. Both openers reached their half-centuries swiftly, with their partnership contributing 110 runs.

Willey eventually broke the opening stand, dismissing Perera for a quickfire 56 runs off 27 balls. Nicholas Pooran and Tim David maintained the momentum, with Pooran scoring a 19-ball 33 before departing. Waseem, with his impressive 61-ball 87 runs, anchored the chase and hit the winning run, sealing a commanding win for MI Emirates.
