SRH batter Ishan Kishan, in a display of the 'spirit of cricket,' began to walk off the field after a somewhat unenthusiastic appeal from the Mumbai Indians. His gesture was even met with applause from the opposing team. However, the unusual scene took a twist when Kishan later realised that he had not actually been dismissed.

It all happened on the very first delivery of the third over of SRH's innings when Deepak Chahar bowled a gentle, short-of-a-good-length ball that drifted down the leg side to Ishan Kishan.

Mumbai Indians wicketkeeper gathered the ball and was prepared to continue play when the umpire initially signaled a wide delivery. However, the umpire quickly reversed his decision and raised his finger to indicate a dismissal after noticing Ishan Kishan beginning to leave the field.

In an unusual turn of events, neither the bowler, Deepak Chahar, nor the Mumbai Indians captain, Hardik Pandya, appeared certain about the dismissal. Indeed, the fast bowler was already making his way back to his bowling mark.

As Ishan Kishan walked towards the dugout, a faint smile played on his lips. Mumbai Indians players swiftly approached him, offering pats on the back in acknowledgment of his display of sportsmanship.
