Rashid Khan enlisted in unwanted list after getting tonked for 25 runs in an over during GT vs LSG clash

Gujarat Titans' leg-spinner Rashid Khan has a history of tremendous success in the Indian Premier League (IPL). However, in the match against LSG, Afghanistan ace spinner Rashid Khan had a nightmarish outing as he was aggressively attacked by opener Mitchell Marsh.

After being asked to bat first LSG got off to a brilliant start. Their opening pair Aiden Markram and Mitchell Marsh performed exceptionally well, stitching 91 runs for the first wicket.

However, when Rashid Khan was brought into the attack in the 12th over by GT skipper Shubman Gill, the plan didn't unfold as intended. The well-set Mitchell Marsh targeted the veteran leg-spinner, smashing him for two maximums and three boundaries in the over. Marsh then took a single on the final delivery, completing a massive 25-run over.

Rashid Khan's first over of the match proved to be a difficult one. The very first delivery was dispatched for a six, followed immediately by a boundary. This onslaught continued with another six and two consecutive fours, before Marsh managed a single off the final ball.

Before Rashid Khan's ill-fated over, LSG's score stood at 107 for one. By its conclusion, they had surged to 132. Overall, it wasn't a good night for Rashid; after this over, he was only given one more over to bowl, in which he conceded 11 runs. This left him with a total of 36 runs given away in just two overs, at an economy rate of 18.
