Top run-scorers for Rajasthan Royals in IPL 2025, 14-year-old Vaibhav Suryavanshi beats Rs 11 crore-worth batter to enter top 5

Sanju Samson-led Rajasthan Royals' (RR) Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 campaign ended on May 20 in Delhi. RR signed off with a win over Chennai Super Kings (CSK). The will finish 9th on the points table until and unless CSK beat Gujarat Titans (GT) by a huge margin. RR often faltered in run chases leading to their early elimination from playoffs race. Here is a list of their top 5 run-scorers -
 

1. Opener Yashasvi Jaiswal scored 559 runs from 14 innings at an average of 43, including six half-centuries. He scored runs at a strike rate of 159.71. Jaiswal was retained for Rs 18 crore.
 

2. Stand-in captain Riyan Parag scored 393 runs from 14 innings at an average of 32.75, including just one half-century. He scored runs at a strike rate of 166.52. His high score of 95 came in a losing cause against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). He was retained for Rs 14 crore.
 

3. RR's wicketkeeper-batter Dhruv Jurel scored 333 runs from 13 innings at an average of 37, including two half-centuries His strike rate was 156.33. He was retained for Rs 14 crore as well.
 

4. RR captain Sanju Samson missed a few games due to injury. Samson scored 285 runs from nine innings at an average of 35.63 including one half-century. His strike rate was 140.39. The skipper was retained for Rs 18 crore.
 

5. 14-year-old Vaibhav Suryavanshi played seven matches in his debut IPL season and scored 252 runs at an average of 36, including a century and a half-century. Suryavanshi's strike rate was a stupendous 206.55. He registered the fastest century in IPL history. The youngster was roped in for Rs 1.1 crore.
 

RR's overseas batter Shimron Hetmyer missed the top five spot. by 14 runs. The Caribbean batter was not in the best of forms and scored 239 runs from 13 innings at an average of 21.73, including one half-century. His strike rate was 145.73. RR's finisher was retained for Rs 11 crore.
