Bhuvneshwar Kumar reveals RCB's success mantra
After the game, RCB's star pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar shed light on the secret behind the bowling attack's great performance throughout the tournament. The right-arm pacer gave credit to RCB's backroom staff and their detailed planning against every team.
“A lot of credit goes to the men behind the scenes, the kind of plans and the way we executed those plans. The experience of Hoff (Josh Hazlewood) and me is useful, but the support staff has been outstanding," said Bhuvneshwar.
The veteran pacer revealed that backroom staff's planning and the bowlers' execution has been deadly this season. However, he admitted that they don't go hard on the data or stats, as this is where the experience of senior players comes in and contributes to the team's success.
“They set up the plans and we’re executing. I can say we’re data informed; if there are places where we can improve, we do refer to it, but we don’t go 100 per cent," added Bhuvneshwar.
The former SRH star finished the game with another brilliant spell of 2/28 in four overs at an economy rate of just 7.00.
