BCCI had strongly condemned the incident. BCCI Secretary Devjit Saikia had said that it was a private event, but still, BCCI should take responsibility for cricket, and guidelines will be issued to prevent such incidents in future. After this statement of Devjit Saikia, now BCCI is in action and can issue a guideline to ensure that such an unfortunate incident does not happen again.

BCCI's 28th Apex Council meeting will be held on June 14. Apart from the decision on this incident, BCCI's code of conduct, the next domestic cricket season and the venue of the series between India and New Zealand will also be discussed.
