Gujarat Titans (GT) captain Shubman Gill lavished praise on teammates after registering an eight-wicket win against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. After GT's win against RCB, Gill lauds bowlers for restricting the hosts to just 169 during their third clash of the tournament.
Gill reveals that they know if the side managed to pick early wickets they they will hold advantage against the Bengaluru-based franchise.

"We have seen on this ground.. restricting them to 170 was a good effort. The wicket has something in it sometimes; you can score 250 as well as get early wickets, there was something for the fast bowlers in the first 7-8 overs and we knew if we pick early wickets then we are in the game" said Shubman Gill after GT's dominating win against RCB.
Gill also opened up on Phil Salt's dropped catch by wicketkeeper Jos Buttler during the powerplay. The incident happened in the opening over of RCB's innings. Buttler had a let-off as he dropped a simple catch, allowing Salt to stay at the crease. Siraj bowled a short delivery on the middle and leg, with Salt stepping forward and taking a big swing. It looked like he had gotten a faint edge, but much to Buttler’s frustration, the catch slipped through his hands and struck him in the midriff instead.
"You are disapointed but you need to keep coming back, grab the next opportunity. We batted professionally considering the wicket. It is all about adapting to the situation and play according to that" added Gill.
However, after making an error while fielding, Buttler came as the best batter for GT, scoring an unbeaten 73 off 39 balls with five fours and six sixes. On the back of his knock, the Titans chased down the target of 170 with 13 balls left in their innings and won by eight wickets.
