After successfully defending their total of 196 runs, the Titans registered their first win of the season with a convincing 36-run margin.
Sai Sudharsan played an instrumental role in setting up the win for GT, scoring a brilliant 63 runs off 41 balls. On a pitch that appeared to have variable pace, Gujarat Titans' bowlers delivered an exceptional performance, with Prasidh Krishna leading the charge and earning the Man of the Match award for his outstanding figures of two wickets for just 18 runs in his four overs.
This victory propelled Gujarat Titans up the IPL 2025 points table. Having been in ninth position before this match, they have made a significant jump to third place after securing their first win in two matches. On the other hand, Mumbai Indians suffered their second consecutive defeat of the season and have dropped one place to ninth in the standings, now positioned just above the Rajasthan Royals.
