Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) secured their fourth victory of the season by defeating Delhi Capitals (DC) by 47 runs on Tuesday, April 21 at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad. The game belonged to Abhishek Sharma, with his spectacular innings of 135 runs off 68 deliveries. The star left-handed batter managed to hit 10 sixes and 10 fours.
Peak power-hitting from SRH
DC opted to bowl first against SRH, the left-handed opening duo of Travis Head and Abhishek got off to a great start by stitching a 97-run stand in just nine overs. Head lost his wicket to Axar Patel while trying to pull a widish delivery with Sameer Rizvi taking a simple catch.

After Head's departure, Abhishek and Ishan Kishan took charge, slamming Kuldeep Yadav for 22 runs in a single over as SRH crossed 150 in 13 overs. Kishan's quick cameo of 25 off 13 ended in a run-out by Nitish Rana. Abhishek, however, continued his carnage, notching up his hundred in just 47 balls. Later, Heinrich Klaasen added the finishing touches with an unbeaten 37 off 13 balls, powering SRH to a huge 242/2 in 20 overs, with Abhishek remaining not out on 135 off 68 balls.
DC's underwhelming batting in second innings
Chasing 243, DC got off to a great start posting 107/2 in the first 10 overs with some aggressive show from Nitish Rana and KL Rahul.
Opener Pathum Nissanka kicked off the second innings with a six but got dismissed by Dilshan Madhushanka in the third over. Nitish Rana came out to bat at No.3 and played an impactful inning of 57 off 30 balls helping DC reach 10/2 at the end of first 10 overs.
Eshan Malinga starred with the ball, removing Nitish Rana and David Miller two consecutive deliveries of the 11th over, before dismissing Tristan Stubbs and Ashutosh Sharma cheap scores of 27 and 14 respectively. The Sri-Lankan pacer finished the game with figures of 4/32.
Harsh Dubey wrapped things for the Orange Army, clinching three wickets in the 20th over removing DC skipper Axar Patel, Sameer Rizvi and Lungi Ngidi leading SRH to secure their third consecutive win by 47 runs.
