Rajasthan Royals (RR) pacer Jofra Archer has a chance to break all-time record for the franchise in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026. Archer needs three more wickets to become their leading wicket-taker in the IPL history.
The record currently belongs to Yuzvendra Chahal who claimed 66 wickets from 46 games across three seasons, featuring a fifer and four four-fers. The leg-spinner is followed by Siddharth Trivedi who has 65 wickets from 76 games, including a four-fer. Currently, Archer has 64 wickets from 52 games at an average of 24.31.

However, Shane Watson has most wickets for RR, including now-defunct Champions League T20.

Archer’s form in IPL 2026
In IPL 2026, Archer is among the top wicket-takers. From five games, he has seven wickets at an average of 20.57. His economy rate of 8.47 runs per over is the best among top five.
Archer's only wicketless game this season came against Gujarat Titans (GT). He claimed two wickets against Chennai Super Kings (CSK). Against his former franchise Mumbai Indians (MI), he bagged a wicket. He took a couple of wickets each against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH).
RR’s next opponent
With four wins from five games, Royals are placed third on the points table. Their only defeat came against SRH when they lost five wickets for nine runs in the run chase.
RR’s next opponent is Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) who are yet to win a game this season. They are at the bottom of the points table with five losses from six games. The match between RR and KKR will be played at Eden Gardens, Kolkata.
Archer has a decent record against KKR, claiming six wickets from eight games at an average of 36.33. The last time RR and KKR played against each other, Archer's only wicket was Angkrish Raghuvanshi.
