Royal Challengers Bengaluru stand-in captain Jitesh Sharma won the toss and opted to bowl against Lucknow Super Giants in match 70 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 at Ekana Stadium in Lucknow. This is the last league match for both teams. LSG are eliminated from the marquee event, and on the other hand, RCB have qualified for the playoffs. They will now look to defeat the Lucknow-based franchise to qualify for the top two. Josh Hazlewood and Tim David will miss the last league match for RCB, and the franchise has added Nuwan Thushara. 

Captains at toss

Rishabh Pant - We don't mind batting or bowling first. We did show a glimpse of the potential in our last game, but every match is a learning curve. Till the last ball is bowled, we will give our 100 per cent. Few changes - Breetzke is in and Digvesh Rathi are back in

Jitesh Sharma - We will field first. Looks like a good wicket, we'll fancy chasing. Rajat Patidar is our impact player. Looking to win and make it into the top two. Tim David misses out, Liam comes in, so does Thushara, he replaces Ngidi, who left the team

RCB vs LSG head-to-head

Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) have played five matches against each other in the history of the Indian Premier League (IPL). RCB holds the edge by winning three matches against LSG. Lucknow-based franchise managed to win just two. This is the first time in IPL 2025 that both teams will be facing each other.
