Chennai Super Kings (CSK) legend MS Dhoni continues to defy his age with his exceptional skills behind the stumps which was evident in the IPL 2025 clash against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) at the MA Chidambaram Stadium on Friday, March 28. The veteran wicketkeeper executed another lightning-fast stumping to dismiss the dangerous looking RCB opener Phil Salt off Noor Ahmad's bowling. Salt had scored a quickfire 32 runs off just 16 deliveries before becoming the first wicket to fall for the visitors, with the score at 45.
The dismissal occurred during the fifth over of RCB's innings. Noor Ahmad delivered a ball on a length, angling away outside the off stump. Salt attempted to hit the ball over the infield towards the cover area but failed to make contact. In a flash, Dhoni gathered the ball and completed the stumping.
Subsequent replays confirmed that Phil Salt's back foot was momentarily airborne as MS Dhoni swiftly dislodged the bails, securing the crucial wicket for CSK.

MS Dhoni's dismissal of Phil Salt bore a striking resemblance to a similar piece of brilliance in CSK's very first match of the 2025 season. In that game, the Chennai Super Kings faced the Mumbai Indians, and Dhoni's lightning-quick reflexes led to the stumping of Mumbai's stand-in captain, Suryakumar Yadav.
Talking about the CSK versus RCB clash, Ruturaj Gaikwad won the toss and elected to field first.
