Story Highlights:

Yograj Singh wants Rishabh Pant to make a few changes in his technique.

Pant has scored at a strike rate of 100.

Pant averages just over 12 in IPL 2025.

Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) captain Rishabh Pant has been going through the roughest patch of his career in T20 cricket. The one-week break in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 matches did not help him either as he departed for a single-digit score in home clash against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) on May 19. While Pant's lack of form is not a good sign for India head of the England tour, former India all-rounder Yograj Singh who is father of legendary Yuvraj Singh, claims that the southpaw's problems can be fixed in just five minutes.

“Rishabh Pant’s problem can be fixed in just five minutes. His head isn’t steady, and his left shoulder is opening up too much. With a bit of focused correction, he’ll be back to his best in no time," Yograj told ANI.

Meanwhile, Pant's teammate, Mitchell Marsh has defended his captain. He backs the Rs 27 crore-worth player to regain his form in the remaining two games.

"He'd be the first one to say that he hasn't had the season that he would have liked," Marsh said. "But we know that he's a fantastic player, highly skilled and highly talented. So he will be back, hopefully, in the last two games."

Pant's diminishing returns this season

Apart from the half-century against MS Dhoni's Chennai Super Kings (CSK), Pant has not been able to get going. He has the worst numbers against LSG batters. At an average of 12.27, he has managed to score just 135 runs from 11 innings. His strike rate is 100. At times, Pant scores at a higher strike rate in Test cricket.

Shot at redemption for Pant

Pant will look to regain his form when LSG go up against Shubman Gill's Gujarat Titans (GT) in Ahmedabad. He will look to get some runs under his belt on a batting-friendly pitch. Then, he will head back to LSG's home where they play Rajat Patidar's Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) on May 27. LSG are already out of the playoffs race and will play for pride.

Pant's Test numbers in England

While form has not been on Pant's side of late, he has a decent record in England. He has scored 556 runs from 17 innings in England, including two centuries and as many half-centuries. However, his average in England is 32.70, second-worst among SENA (South Africa, England, New Zealand and Australia) countries. He averages over 46 in Australia and over 37 in South Africa.
