Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) on April 18 announced South Africa’s pace-bowling all-rounder Gerald Coetzee as replacement for an injured English pacer David Payne for the remainder of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026.
Coetzee has been paid Rs 50 lakh more than they did for Payne. The English pacer was roped in for Rs 1.5 crore as injured Australian star Jack Edwards’ replacement. Coetzee has been roped in for Rs 2 crore as he had opted for the highest base price when he registered for the IPL 2026 mini-auction.
