Fueled by Suryakumar Yadav's stellar performance, the Mumbai Indians managed to post a formidable total of 215 runs for the loss of seven wickets in their allotted twenty overs. Opening batsman Ryan Rickelton also contributed significantly with a quickfire 58 runs off 32 deliveries, as the Mumbai Indians batsmen dominated the Lucknow Super Giants' bowling attack all across the Wankhede Stadium.

“To be honest, I was really happy when we lost the toss. Because it's really, really hot out there, and I mean, it is challenging. But yeah, at the end of the day, someone putting us into bat and we are scoring 200+, I think it's really good from a batting point of view,” said Suryakumar Yadav after the mid-innings break.

Throughout his blistering innings against the Lucknow Super Giants, Suryakumar Yadav also reached a significant milestone in his IPL career, surpassing the 4000-run mark. In terms of the number of balls faced, he now stands as the third-fastest player to achieve this feat in the tournament's history, trailing only the legendary Chris Gayle and AB de Villiers.

Speaking about this feat, he said, “Let's keep doing it. I mean, I don't want to say anything. I'm enjoying it right now and let's keep doing it,” he added.

Riding on Suryakumar and Rickelton's fifty MI ended up posting a towering total of 215/7.

“I feel it's a good score. I mean, put into bat and I feel the wicket is a little slow. But yes, it is going to be a little challenge out there with their batting lineup. I mean, really excited. Let's see how it goes,” Suryakumar concluded.
