Indian players were the highlight of the Day 1 of the IPL 2024 mega auction. Rishabh Pant, Shreyas Iyer and Venkatesh Iyer shattered all records in the bidding wars which took place in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. A total of Rs. 467.95 crores were spent on 72 players amid whom Pant topped the charts with a whopping 27 crores, followed by Shreyas Iyer who got 26.75 crores.

A little surprise came in the form of Venkatesh Iyer, as Kolkata Knight Riders outbid everyone to regain the services of the star all-rounder. He got a stunning 23.75 crore from the defending champions KKR. The other surprises were David Warner and Jonny Bairstow, who went unsold.

1. Washington Sundar

2. Sam Curran

English star Sam Curran was bought by Punjab Kings for a whopping amount of 18.50 crores in IPL 2023. He is one of the marquee all-rounders in world cricket. He has also played the role of captain for the PBKS and has a lot of experience under his sleeves now.

3. Gerald Coetzee

South African pacer Gerald Coetzee got into the limelight for his performance in the ODI World Cup 2023 and IPL 2024. He was roped in by Mumbai Indians for Rs 5 crores in IPL 2024, where he took 13 wickets in his debut season. His recent performances have also been good and teams are still looking to add more quality pacers in their squad.

4. Deepak Chahar

Deepak Chahar has one of the key players of the Chennai Super Kings set up in the last couple of years.
