Virat Kohli finally reveals why he removed all advertisment posts from his Instagram grid, says 'I am not in a place where...'

In a conversation with Mr. Nags, Virat Kohli revealed that the value of his endorsements has increased. He said his Instagram grid needed a reset.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru's (RCB) star opener Virat Kohli removed all the advertisements from his Instagram page's grid. On RCB's show with Mr. Nags, a character played by content creator Danish Sait, Kohli revealed that his Instagram page needed a reset.Β

Mr. Nags - Now that you have won Champions Trophy and World Cup. Has your value of endorsements gone higher?

Virat Kohli - Β Yes!

Mr. Nags - Is that why you have archived all the old thoughts (promotional posts)?

Virat Kohli - I am in a very interesting space with social media. Currently, I am not in a place where I am engaging too much. It definitely needs a reset.

Kohli didn't remove advertisement posts

Contrary to the rumour mill, Kohli did not remove advertisement posts. He merely removed them from his Instagram page's grid. In layman's terms, he removed these posts from his Instagram homepage. The promotional reels have not been deleted and are still available on Kohli's Instagram.Β

Kohli in fine form

Meanwhile, Kohli has been fulfilling the role given by the franchise. He is their leading run-scorer with 248 runs from six innings at an average of 62, including three half-centuries. His strike rate is 143.35. He is a contender for the orange cap as well.Β

Kohli has been complimenting his destructive opening partner Phil Salt who has been striking at a strike rate of 185.71. The English opener has scored 208 runs from six innings already.

In the previous game against Rajasthan Royals (RR) in Jaipur, Kohli scored an unbeaten 62 in the successful run chase. RCB are currently third on the points table with four wins from six games. Their next match is against Shreyas Iyer's Punjab Kings (PBKS) at M.Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru on April 18.
