Chennai Super Kings (CSK) faced another disappointing loss to finish their Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 campaign. The Ruturaj Gaikwad-led side failed to chase a mammoth target of 230 runs in their game against Gujarat Titans on Thursday, May 21 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
In a disappointing batting performance from CSK, Shivam Dube was the only batter to try to unsettle the in-form GT bowling line up with his counter-attacking 47 off just 17 balls before losing his wicket on Rashid Khan's delivery.
Stunning catch from Shubman Gill to remove Shivam Dube
It was Rashid Khan's first over when Dube smashed him for a bug six. However, he tried to hit another biggie, but mistimed it with GT skipper Shubman Gill completing a stunning catch while running backwards from cover. With a help of a last-moment dive Gill grabbed the catch and celebrated it with putting a finger to lips in a gesture towards the CSK fans present in the stadium.
