Suryakumar Yadav has officially rejoined the Mumbai Indians (MI) camp after missing the franchise's recent match against the Punjab Kings (PBKS) in Dharamsala. Last week, the explosive batter and his wife welcomed a baby girl, prompting him to take a brief leave to be with his family, which saw him sit out of Mumbai's six-wicket victory on May 14.

At the same time, reports suggest that the Indian T20I skipper has also been managing a persistent wrist injury. This physical setback is believed to have played a significant role in his recent on-field struggles throughout what has been a challenging season for the batter.
However, Suryakumar cleared the air regarding his status by sharing an Instagram post confirming his return to the squad, featuring pictures of him training hard at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. Barring any late fitness hitches, he is expected to be fully available for selection for the Mumbai Indians' upcoming IPL fixture on May 20.
