IND vs NZ 1st Test: Rohit Sharma-led Indian cricket team suffered an embarrassing outing in the first Test of the three-match series which was being played at the M.Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. New Zealand bowlers Matt Henry and William O'Rourke decimated the hosts and bowled them out for a paltry score of just 46 runs, which is also the lowest total by the Indian team at home. India was nowhere in the match at this point. Everyone was hoping Rishabh Pant might come to the rescue again but it just wasn't their day.

India bowl out for 46

46 is India's lowest Test total at home and the third overall. They lost their first wicket at the score of 9 in form of Rohit Sharma but from their it all went downhill. Five of the Indian batters could not even open their account. Virat Kohli, Sarfaraz Khan, Ravindra Jadeja, KL Rahul, and Ravichandran Ashwin got out for a duck.

This is also the first time that four of the top 7 Indian batters have returned to the dugout for a duck in a home Test. This is also the lowest total ever scored in Asia. The previous one was 53 runs by West Indies against Pakistan at Faisalabad in 1986 and 53 runs by Pakistan against Australia at Sharjah in 2002.

Henry and O'Rourke run riot on India

Tim Southee did get the opening wicket of the match but after that it was just Matt Henry and William O'Rourke show. Together, both of them took the remaining 9 wickets. Henry completed his 100 Test wickets with a fifer in the first innings and R'Ourke was also in the spotlight with this stunning four-wicket haul.

New Zealand are in a dominant position here and have the chance to gain a massive first innings lead that will again India under a lot of pressure and throw them on backfoot. India on the other hand, will try to restrict the BlackCaps on a low score as well.
