The match between Peshawar Zalmi and Islamabad United took place in Lahore, where Babar, leading from the front, dazzled with his array of attractive shots while skillfully preserving his wicket. His innings of 111 runs from 63 deliveries, featuring 14 boundaries and two maximums, stood out as a masterclass in T20 batting. Apart from Babar, Sam Ayub was the next-highest scorer for Peshawar with 38 runs off 21 balls, including three fours and two sixes, contributing to the team's imposing total of 201/5.

Babar Azam leaves Virat Kohli far behind

At 29 years old, Babar Azam's T20 career boasts an impressive tally of 11 centuries, positioning him as the second-highest century-maker in the world of T20 cricket, trailing only behind the legendary Chris Gayle, who has 22 centuries in 463 matches. Babar's achievement places him ahead of Michael Klinger, who has eight centuries in 283 matches, and Virat Kohli, who ranks fourth with eight centuries in 376 T20 matches. Following closely is David Warner, occupying the fifth spot with eight centuries in 370 matches.
