The tournament will take place in a hybrid model where the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) will remain the host of the mega event, and the matches will take place in the UAE, as India and Pakistan have mutually agreed to compete only at neutral venues till 2027 due to the prevailing cross-border tension between them.
Naqvi, who is also chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) took to 'X' to make a formal announcement.
"I am delighted to confirm the dates of the ACC Men's Asia Cup 2025 in UAE. The prestigious tournament will take place from September 9th to 28th. We look to a spectacular display of cricket. Details schedule will be out soon," Naqvi posted.
Hosts India are part of Group A in the mega event they will start their campaign against UAE on September 10. The Men in Blue will face arch-rivals Pakistan in their second group stage match on September 14. India will face Oman in their last league match, which will take place on September 14.

Team India will enter the tournament as defending champions, as the Rohit Sharma-led side defeated Sri Lanka in a one-sided match in the finale of the Asia Cup 2023. Asia Cup is a rehearsal for the ICC World Cup, so the tournament will take place in T20 format because of next year's Twenty20 World Cup in India and Sri Lanka.
