The West Indies Cricket has created history by becoming the first ever full member nation to bowl all 50 overs of spin in an innings during the second ODI against Bangladesh. WI featured all five spinners in the second ODI against Bangladesh at Shere Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka.
The Pitch for second ODI
The pitch in the second ODI looked dry and full of cracks, making it helpful for spinners. Bangladesh batters managed to get starts, but once again, it was Rishad Hossain’s innings that made the biggest impact.
The West Indies bowlers dominated in the first innings by taking wickets in regular intervals, and by the end of the 46th over, Bangladesh were 163 for 7. But Rishad shifted the momentum of the game in the last few overs. The spin-bowling all-rounder added 50 runs in the final four overs, giving Bangladesh a strong finish.
Earlier, the West Indies had failed to chase 208 in the first match, and they will now have to find a better way to deal with Rishad, especially when he's batting.
West Indies created history in 2nd ODI
In the second ODI, Akeal Hosein, Roston Chase, Khary Pierre, Gudakesh Motie, and Alick Athanaze each bowled 10 overs. West Indies made history by becoming the first full-member team to use only spinners for all 50 overs in an ODI.
Soumya Sarkar was the top scorer for Bangladesh, but his 45 runs came from 89 balls. Rishad played a fast and important knock, scoring 39 runs from just 14 balls, hitting three sixes and three fours.

Motie was the pick of the bowlers for West Indies with three scalps, while Athanaze and Hosein picked up two wickets each.
For Bangladesh, no batter apart from Rishad managed to score with a strike rate above 100. The team finished with 213 runs for seven wickets, setting a tough target on a pitch that was hard to bat on.
In the first ODI, Bangladesh had beaten the West Indies by 74 runs after bowling them out for 133, having scored 207 in the first innings.
