Shreyas Gopal, who joined Chennai Super Kings in the Indian Premier League (IPL) mega auction, has done wonders. The bowler has created a ruckus by taking a hat-trick against Baroda. Gopal did this wonder in the ongoing Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy (SMAT). Gopal has been bought by Chennai Super Kings for Rs 30 lakh in an auction at Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Gopal got a hattrick during the match between Karnataka and Baroda.
Pandya brothers got out on golden duck
Shreyas Gopal made a great start for Karnataka when the team was struggling to take the second wicket. During the second over, the player shook the top order of Baroda. In the second over, first Gopal dismissed Shashwat Rawat and then on the next two balls he completed the hat-trick by dismissing Hardik Pandya and his brother Krunal Pandya. Both brothers got out on golden duck.
Gopal made his debut for Mumbai Indians in the year 2014. After staying with the franchise for 4 years, he became a part of Rajasthan Royals and played 4 seasons with them. After this, in the year 2024, Sunrisers Hyderabad took him in their team. But this year he was released. Gopal's performance has been excellent in SMAT. Gopal has also taken a hat-trick in IPL. This is the first time when Krunal Pandya and Hardik Pandya have been out together without opening the account. The Karnataka team batted first and scored a total of 169 runs after losing 8 wickets. KL Srijit scored 22 runs in 9 balls for Karnataka. At the same time, Abhinav Manohar scored an unbeaten 56 runs. Atit Seth took 2 wickets and Krunal Pandya took 2 wickets for Baroda.
