England's dominating run under new captain Harry Brook continued. On June 10 at The Rose Bowl, Southampton, England posted 248/3, their highest T20I total at home. After openers Jamie Smith and Ben Duckett's fifties followed by a few cameos, Luke Wood and Adil Rashid helped their side restrict West Indies to 211/8. England won the third T20I by 37 runs to complete another cleansweep. Shai Hope-led West Indies will head to Ireland without a win in T20I and ODI series on England soil.

Duckett, Smith loot West Indies bowlers

Hope won the toss and opted to bowl first. Duckett hit the first six in the third over of the innings. Smith and Duckett shifted gears quickly. England were 83 for no loss after powerplay overs. Duckett reached his fifty from just 20 balls. In the eighth over, Smith got to his maiden T20I fifty from just 23 deliveries. He hit Romario Shepherd for three sixes in an over where his catch was dropped as well. Gudakesh Motie got the breakthrough. Smith departed for a 26-ball 60 featuring four fours and five sixes. The openers shared a 120-run partnership from 53 balls.

Bethell, Brook finish well

At the halfway stage, England had 135 runs on the board. Jos Buttler contributed with a 10-ball 22. He was dismissed by Sherfane Rutherford. Duckett missed a chance to score his maiden T20I century. He got bowled by Hosein in the 15th over. The sothpaw scored 84 runs from 46 balls. His knock was laced with 10 fours and two sixes. In the 17th over, Bethell went berserk and hit Motie for three consecutive sixes. Bethell and Brook's unbeaten 70-run partnership helped England post 248/3. Brook scored 35 runs from 22 balls whereas Bethell remained unbeaten for a 16-ball 36.

West Indies slow down after powerplay overs

Evin Lewis started the run chase with a maximum off Wood. In the next over, the left-arm pacer dismissed Johnson Charles who scored just nine runs from 12 balls. Hope hit Will Jacks for two consecutive sixes. Liam Dawson was introduced into the attack and he delivered with Lewis' wicket. Shimton Hetmyer arrived at the crease and hit Wood for a four and two sixes. West Indies were 66/2 after powerplay overs. Bethell did damage with the ball as well, dismissing Hetmyer for an eight-ball 26. Adil Rashid joined the party and got the wicket of Rutherford. Powell's 79 in vain

With required run rate climbing, Hope went after Brydon Carse. He hit a six and two fours before getting dismissed for a 27-ball 45. Rashid got his revenge from Shepherd and dismissed him for a five-ball duck. The required run rate was already out of the grasp. Jason Holder and Powell dealt in fours and sixes. Wood returned and struck twice to remove Holder and Motie. Holder scored 25 runs from 12 balls. In the penultimate over, Powell got to his fifty from 34 balls. In the last over, he took on Carse and hit him for a six and three fours. He remained unbeaten for 79 off 45 balls as West Indies managed to post 211/8 and lost by 37 runs.

West Indies got whitewashed in both T20I and ODI series. This is a good start for Brook as England's white-ball captain. West Indies will have a chance to redeem themselves against Ireland in the T20I series.
