Due to the Taliban's stance on women's rights, Cricket Australia (CA) decided not to play a bilateral series against Afghanistan. The ace leg spinner was disappointed with this decision. Cricket Australia is confident that Rashid Khan's decision not to enter the draft was unaffected by rivalries between the national teams. They feel that the player's timetable is the offender being referred to here.

Rashid played for the Trent Rockets in The Hundred recently before getting injured while fielding. He will play a series against Zimbabwe in December and will play for MI New York in the SA20's third edition. Due to the 2025 Champions Trophy, which is scheduled for February, there are concrete efforts to conclude the franchise tournaments as soon as possible. The BBL's second half always clashes with the South African league.
