After India's T20 World Cup 2024 victory, skipper Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and Ravindra Jadeja have announced their retirement from the T20I format. Apart from Indian stars, there are many cricketers including Australia's stylish batter David Warner, and New Zealand pacer Trent Boult announced their retirement from the shortest format of the game after the marquee event hosted by the USA and West Indies.
Here is the list of cricketers who announced their retirement from T20Is after the T20 World Cup 2024.
Rohit Sharma
Indian captain Rohit Sharma announced his retirement from T20Is just after leading Men in Blue to the World Cup win. He played 159 matches and scored 4231 runs - most in the history of the game. However, he will be seen playing in the Indian Premier League (IPL).
Virat Kohli
India's stylish batter Virat Kohli has also announced his retirement from T20Is as soon as he received his Player of the Match trophy for scoring 76 off 59 runs in the final of T20 World Cup 2024 against South Africa. He played 125 T20I matches and scored 4188 runs in his T20I career.
David Warner
Australia's legendary batter David Warner was also featured for the last time for Australia in a T20I. He played his last match against India where Men in Blue defeated them by 24 runs. Warner played 110 T20Is to score 3277 runs.
Ravindra Jadeja
Legendary all-rounder and amazing fielder Ravindra Jadeja also announced his retirement a day after India's World Cup win. He announced his retirement by sharing a post on his Instagram. Jadeja played 74 T20Is to score 515 runs and pick 54 wickets.
Trent Boult
New Zealand left-arm pacer Trent Boult played his last T20I match for New Zealand against PNG in the Super 8 round of T20 World Cup 2024. Boult finished his T20I career with 83 wickets in 61 T20I matches.
Mahmudullah
Bangladesh veteran cricketer also announced his retirement from international cricket after T20 World Cup 2024. He scored 95 runs in seven matches for Bangladesh in the tournament. Overall, he scored 2394 runs in 138 T20Is. He also picked 40 wickets with his off-spin bowling.

David Wiese
Namibia legendary cricketer David Wiese also featured for the last time in this World Cup as he announced his retirement from international cricket after they to England in their last group stage match. Wiese featured in 54 T20Is to score 624 runs and pick 59 wickets.
Sybrand Engelbrecht
Netherlands legend Sybrand Engelbrecht also retired after the Netherlands' last match against Sri Lanka. He played 12 T20 Internationals and scored 280 runs at an average of 31.11 and a strike rate of 132.7.
Brian Masaba
Uganda captain Brian Masaba also announced his retirement from T20 cricket after his team's loss in the T20 World Cup 2024. He featured in 61 T20Is, scoring 437 runs and picking 23 wickets.
