Pakistan's losing streak in ODIs continued as they lost their seventh game in a row. New Zealand completed cleansweep at home in the three-ODI series with a convincing 43-run win in the 42 overs per side game. The third ODI was delayed due to wet outfield. Opener Rhys Mariu and captain Michael Bracewell's fifties helped New Zealand post 264/8. Ben Sears registered his second consecutive fifer as Pakistan were bowled out for 221.

Earlier, Mohammad Rizwan won the toss and opted to field first. Naseem Shah struck early as Nick Kelly returned to the dressing room for a single-digit score. Imam concussed, Babar scores fifty
In the run chase, Imam-ul-Haq had to leave the field early as he was hit by throw from Kiwi fielder. In the third over, Babar Azam walked out to bat. Babar and Abdullah Shafique tried to get Pakistan off to a good start. After a cautious start, Shafique became Sears' first victim of the day. He scored 33 runs from 56 balls. Imam's concussion substitute Usman Khan could not do much damage and lost his wicket to Abbas for a 17-ball 12. Babar reached fifty and soon after lost his wicket to New Zealand's part-time pacer Daryl. He scored 50 runs from 58 balls.

Sears wreaks havoc
Sears and Jacob Duffy derailed Pakistan's run chase as the required run rate climbed up. Salman Agha fell to Sears for a run-a-ball 11. Rizwan looked to accelerate but edged one to Hay off Duffy's bowling. Bracewell then got the wicket of left-handed batter Ashraf. Naseem hit a four and a six in his 13-ball before falling to Sears. The Kiwi pacer got the wicket of Mohammad Wasim Jr on the next ball. Tayyab Tahir's fight came to an end in the 39th over. He scored 33 runs from 31 balls. Sears wrapped up the innings with Muqeem's wicket as Pakistan were bowled out for 221 in 40 overs.
