Rickelton, Marsh, Brook wreak havoc
London Spirit skipper Liam Livingstone won the toss and opted to bowl first. Mitchell Marsh got off the mark with a six. Marsh hit Adam Zampa for three sixes and a four to reach his fifty from 24 balls. Ryan Rickelton got into the attack, hitting Jamie Overton for two sixes and a four. Skipper Livingstone introduced himself into the attack but went on to conceded 23 runs from five balls. Rickelton got to his half-century from 21 deliveries. The partnership was broken on the 65th delivery. Adam Milne dismissed Marsh who hit seven sixes and six fours in his 37-ball 76. Marsh and Rickelton shared a 148-run opening partnership.
Harry Brook didn't let the tempo drop and went on a rampage. He hit Overton for two fours and two consecutive sixes. Meanwhile, Rickelton continued to dominate the bowlers and entered the 90s. Brook completed his half-century with a six off Andrew Tye. He reached the milestone from just 15 balls, the joint-fastest in the Hundred. In the final over, Brook lost his wicket to Willey. The England white-ball captain scored 55 runs from 18 balls, including five sixes and as many fours. Rickelton remained stranded on 95 as Dan Lawrence hit a four and a six off the last three balls of the innings. Rickelton scored 94 runs from 42 balls, including six fours and eight sixes. It is the second-highest individual score this season.

London Spirit’s collapse
The run chase got off to a poor start with Jonny Bairstow getting out for a golden duck to Reece Topley. Skipper Livingstone arrived at the crease and hit Topley for a four and a six. Then, he hit Brydon Carse for two sixes and a four. Lhuan-dre Pretorius couldn't do much in the run chase and became Topley's second victim of the day. Livingstone hit Nathan Ellis for two fours before losing his wicket. In the same over, Ellis got James Coles out for a two-ball duck. Matthew Potts joined the party with James Rew's wicket. London Spirit lost half the side for 56 in just 26 balls.
Willey wills Spirit past 200
Dewald Brevis and Willey turned the tide in the middle overs. Carse's two no-balls helped London Spirit's cause. But, the required run rate was out of the grasp. Brevis fell to Matthew Revis for a 21-ball 38. Then, Willey and Overton decided to reduce to the margin of defeat. Willey reached his half-century from 31 balls. London Spirit managed to post 204/6 despite losing five wickets for 56 runs. Willey remained unbeaten for 83 off 46 balls, including 10 fours and three sixes. On the other hand, Overton contributed with a 15-ball 27 cameo.
As many as 445 runs were scored in the game, the highest combined total in a Hundred match. The previous record was 418 which was recently achieved in a match between Birmingham Phoenix and Trent Rockets.
With a 37-run win Sunrisers Leeds are now placed fourth on the points table. Meanwhile, London Spirit suffered their fourth defeat from four games and are just above bottom-placed Birmingham Phoenix.
