'There’s no room for terrorism in this world': Sachin Tendulkar shares social media post promoting 'unity' after 'Operation Sindoor'

Cricketing god Sachin Tendulkar shared a hard-hitting post promoting unity to fight terrorism after India demolished nine terror camps in Pakistan and PoJK in Operation Sindoor, a retaliation to the Pahalgam terrorist attack that killed 26 people. 

Tendulkar joined India head coach Gautam Gambhir and his former teammates Virender Sehwag, Suresh Raina, among others, to laud the Indian Army for the fitting response. The batting great took his 'X' formerly known as Twitter to laud the Indian Army for their courageous operation to counter terrorism. 

"Fearless in unity. Boundless in strength. India’s shield is her people. There’s no room for terrorism in this world. We’re ONE TEAM," wrote Tendulkar.

On April 22, terrorists launched an attack on civilians in Jammu and Kashmir's Pahalgam. This was one of the most brutal attacks on civilians since the 26/11 attack in Mumbai in 2008.  Before Operation Sindoor, India suspended the Indus Water Treaty with Pakistan and closed the Attari-Wagah border while also ordering the Pakistan nationals to leave in 48 hours. The Indian government also banned several Pakistani celebrity YouTube channels and social media accounts, including Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan, and Shahid Afridi, among others.

On May 7, early morning, the Indian Armed Forces launched ‘OPERATION SINDOOR’, hitting terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir from where terrorist attacks against India have been planned and directed, said an official statement from the Minister of Defence.

After the mission, the Indian Armed Forces shared details bout Operation Sindoor, a targeted strike mission to destroy terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan and Pok in response to the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack. Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri, Colonel Sofiya Qureshi and Wing Commander Vyomika Singh addressed the press in New Delhi after the targeted strikes. They outlined the objectives of the operation and provided details on destroyed terrorist camps. Four of the nine targeted terrorist camps are in Pakistan and the remaining are in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.
