Team India will play two Test match against Bangladesh from September 19.

Former India captain Virat Kohli is currently with the Indian squad in Chennai preparing for the first Test match against Bangladesh which is scheduled to take place in MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai from September 19. India will play two Test matches against Bangladesh where the second match will be played at Green Park Stadium in Kanpur from September 27. Team India-led by Rohit Sharma are currently preparing in Chennai to face the neighbouring nation.

In a video released by BCCI.TV, India's fielding coach, T Dilip, revealed that Team Virat Kohli triumphed in a demanding fielding drill.

The drill, conducted during a training session at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai, involved all key Indian players. Kohli’s team demonstrated exceptional energy and skill, leading them to victory.

India to feature with three spinners

Rohit Sharma-led side will feature with three spinners where Ravindra Jadeja, Ravichandran Ashwin and Kuldeep Yadav and in form Axar Patel will likely to be benched along with Dhruv Jurel for the Chepauk Test. Apart from this, Jasprit Bumrah will lead the pace attack along with Mohammed Siraj.

Rohit Sharma to reach new milestone

Rohit has two significant milestones to aim for during the series. Achieving the first will solidify his legacy as the country’s greatest six-hitter. Currently ranked 11th globally with 84 sixes in Tests, Rohit needs just eight more to surpass the legendary Virender Sehwag, who has 91, and become the leading six-hitter for his team in Test cricket.

McCullum (107) and the iconic Australian wicketkeeper-batter Adam Gilchrist (100) hold the top spots for the most sixes in Test cricket. If Rohit goes on a six-hitting spree in the upcoming games, he could become the fourth player overall and the first Indian to hit 100 sixes in Tests.

Additionally, Rohit is closing in on his 50th international century. With 48 centuries in 483 matches, he needs just two more to reach the milestone. If he achieves this, he will join an elite group as only the third Indian batter and the 10th player globally to have 50 international centuries. Currently, only Sachin Tendulkar (100 centuries) and Virat Kohli (80 centuries) from India have surpassed the half-century mark in international centuries.
