The International Cricket Council (ICC) has finally announced the official fixture of the upcoming edition of the Women's T20 World Cup 2024 which is set to be held in Bangladesh. Indian women's cricket team has been placed in the same group along with six-time champion Australia, New Zealand, and their arch-rivals Pakistan. The other group consists of South Africa, West Indies, England, and the hosts Bangladesh. Both groups will also have one team from the qualifiers.
The tournament will start on October 3 with the opening clash between England and South Africa. There will be a total of 23 matches which will be played across 19 days in two venues of Dhaka and Sylhet. Both the semi-finals and the final will have reserve days if there's a requirement.
India's campaign in Women's T20 World Cup 2024
Team India will start their campaign with the clash against New Zealand in Sylhet, on October 4. Then they will go one-on-one against their arch-rivals Pakistan at the same venue, on October 6. India will be facing the team coming from the qualifier on October 9 and against defending champions Australia on October 13. All of India's matches will be taking place in Sylhet.
