Australia dominated Bangladesh with a win by an innings and 51 runs in Mackay to maintain the top position on World Test Championship (WTC) 2025-27 points table. Australia’s win paved the way for India to move to fourth position if they beat Sri Lanka in the ongoing second Test of the series in Colombo. Bangladesh’s win percentage took a hit, dropping to 55.56 as they were no match for Australia despite Shoriful Islam’s record-breaking seven-wicket haul. There is just a difference of 2.33 win percentage between fourth-placed Bangladesh and fifth-placed India.
