The T20 Blast continues to present immaculate performances this season. The fourth quarterfinal match between Somerset and Derbyshire was one such game, which saw its own piece of history being created. In this game, Somerset recorded a historic 191-run victory as Derbyshire were unable to find a solution for their opponents' aggressive cricket.

Leading the line for Somerset was Rilee Rossouw, who is a retired cricketer from South Africa. Now 37, Rossouw scored 93 runs in just 36 balls as Somerset set a massive score of 265 runs. Rossouw's innings included 35 runs off just one over, where the star smashed five sixes in one over.

To recap the game, Somerset were sent in to bat first after they lost the toss. Opening their batting was Tom Banton, who played a scintillating innings of 71 runs in 41 balls with four fours and six sixes to his name. Meanwhile, Riley Rossouw, who came to bat at number three, played a blistering innings of 93 runs in 36 balls with eight fours and seven sixes. It was against Mattie McKiernan
that Rossouw smashed five sixes.

This happened in the 15th over of the first innings. On McKiernan's first two balls, Rossouw hit consecutive sixes and a four on the third. This was followed by a no-ball, after which Rossouw hit three consecutive sixes, finishing the over with 35 runs scored. This helped Somerset to 265 runs, the highest score ever in English T20 cricket.

Another record created is the big win margin by runs in T20 cricket. Chasing the mammoth total, Derbyshire's batting collapsed like a card under pressure as they only scored 74 runs. Wayne Madsen could only score 14 runs from his side, while Peter Siddle and Ben Green took three wickets each for Somerset. This helped Somerset to the semifinals with a record 191 run-win. They will now face Hampshire in the semis.
